You’ll find most of the things to do in North Hollywood within the NoHo Arts District. The Arts District has evolved into a culturally diverse area that attracts people from all over the world. Filled with boutique shops, fun bars, hidden cafes, and delicious modern restaurants, this area lends itself to anyone looking for a walkable community. Since its inception in the early ’90s, the pedestrian-friendly, Metro-connected district has put North Hollywood on the map as the Valley’s cultural hub. North Hollywood features 20 professional theaters producing new work and classics, diverse art galleries, public art, and professional dance studios. The district also features the largest concentration of music recording venues west of the Mississippi. In an informal study done by the North Hollywood Arts Association, it was found that roughly 50% of residents are under the age of 30. As Nancy Bianconi (editor for the Noho Arts District) puts it, “Our neighborhood is not about buildings…it’s about the people”.
